As opposed to earning a badge or passing a level, teen and adult swimmers in the Shore Stingray program work towards completing modules. Lessons are 45 minutes long, with a class ratio of 2 swimmers : 1 instructor. 15 - 17 year olds will be placed in a teen class, and swimmers over 18 years of age will be placed in an adult class.

Module 1
Module 1
Swimmers will learn how to float, glide, and kick independently. Swimmers will work on basic front crawl progressions. Treading water is introduced.
Module 2
Module 2
Swimmers will learn basic front and back crawl with the use of equipment. Once mastered, swimmers will work on front crawl with unilateral breathing, and back crawl for 25 meters each. Swimmers will tread water for 60 seconds.
Module 3
Module 3
Swimmers will need to swim 50 meters of front crawl with unilateral breathing and back crawl. Whip kick and eggbeater is introduced.
Module 4
Module 4
Swimmers will work on front crawl with bilateral breathing and advanced back crawl for 75 meters each. Breaststroke is introduced. Swimmers will tread water with eggbeater kick for 60 seconds.
Module 5
Module 5
Swimmers will enhance their front crawl with bent arms and an underwater pull. All three swim strokes are perfected in this module - advanced front crawl and back crawl for 100 meters each, and 50 m of breaststroke. Swimmers will learn how to dive. Treading water with eggbeater kick is required for 120 seconds. After completing Stingray module 5, swimmers can move onto the Sunfish program.
