✓ Working as a member of an assistant lifeguard team in pool and open water environments
✓ Foot first and head first surface dives, and retrieving a ten pound brick from the deep end
✓ Hand signals, whistle signals, safety supervision zones, scanning, and rotations
✓ How to remove a victim from the water with two rescuers and a spinal board
✓ Searching for missing victims in shallow and deep water
✓ Rescuing victims submerged in deep water
✓ Rescuing breathing and non breathing victims with a spinal injury in shallow water
✓ Two rescuer CPR for infant, child, and adult drowning victims
Shore offers small group Bronze courses, and canadiates are not required to participate in a final exam. Candidates will have access to Shore course documents in addition to Lifesaving Society resources. A Lifesaving Society certification card will be issued in the mail within 90 days after successful course completion. In the meantime, candidates will receive a proof of completion letter and temporary certification card on the last day of the course.

Prerequisites: Bronze Medallion, Emergency First Aid with CPR-B or Standard First Aid with CPR-C
Required manual: Canadian Lifesaving Manual
